An arrangement of quintuplets sets appeared during July in the field below Silbury Hill approaching Avebury. Twenty seven circles were recorded within the designs and isolated throughout the field which were known later on as grapeshot circles. A number of the circles were positioned between the tramlines, some no wider than one metre in diameter.
